Ok, I've tried
1) Running setup as admin
2) no background tasks running (5% cpu usage and about 500-600mb ram usage)
- Installed spybot and ccleaner. No spyware found. Repaired registry and cleaned all usless files.
- No I've not encountered similar error when running other programs
- There's no "NO CD" patch. (I havn't installed the game yet)
- Video drivers are up to date.
- I've doubled the paging file size, but the result is same.
I'm still not able to install the game. |

Time range: industrial age to informational age(or something along those words)
I think when you start creating military units, you can choose which gun to pick, just like cod, primary, secondary, and maybe special equipment.
Different weapons provide different abilities and of course, different cost.
Also for units, bicycle fighters(men with bike and gun) is both fresh and fun  |

Yes your machine should play the game nicely.
I would also check for viruses using up RAM and other spyware.
Some nice FREE tools for getting rid of rubbish out of your machine I recommend are Malwarebytes, CCleaner and Spybot. All three of these can be downloaded from Kimpton Computers. At the bottom of their front page is a row of icons which take you directly to the latest versions of each program.
Do you have any similar errors when running other programs?
Have you installed a "NO CD" patch?
Are your video drivers up to date?
Have you altered your page file size?

| Perhaps you are running too many background taks that are eating up your memory. Try ending some processes or perhaps u need to run it as an administrator. (Do this by right clicking it and finding the option, it seems a few people on windows7 have had admin issues.) |

I'm facing an error whenever I run the setup file.
As i open setup file, a dos screen opens for a fraction of seconds and there it says "Program too big to fit in memory".
I saw the requirements of the game and my configuration is meeting all of them.
Please help me with this.
My system specs:
Windows 7 ultimate (32 bit)
AMD phenom II 3.1 GHz
Nvidia GeForce 7025
900 mb video card, 2 GB RAM
Hard disk space more than 200 GB left

Correct, Microsoft didn't "make" the game, but it's made in their name...
1st, We all know that Microsoft don't "make" the game, but it wouldn't be made without their permission and franchise sale. If Microsoft sell a franchise to make a game, you don’t honestly believe they have no input in the game do you? If you where selling the franchise to another company with your "seal of approval" all over it, you wouldn't leave them to make just whatever they wanted would you?
2nd, Why do people assume that Ensemble Studios has to make Age Of Empires 4? There are plenty of game studios with the knowledge to make such a game.
3rd, Robot Entertainment's team is made up of ex-employees of Ensemble Studios and Microsoft !
4th, Microsoft haven’t given up on the franchise by a long shot, they realise it's still very popular and a good money earner with millions of fans all over the world, hence the new Age Of Empires Online game franchise which has been announced.
Give it some time, we think AOE4 will be on the shelves!

Wow! I am so glad I found this because I just gotta say this, Earthworks. Trenches and ramparts on dry ground and canals joining bodies of water with the ocean and probably sea-walls. Speaking of sea-walls maybe we could have some non-combat related things like catastrophic (or just plain adverse) weather events just to make it a bit more...... interesting, lines of troops trudging through the mud and the trebuchet is bogged (which makes me think road building could be available) .
Also I thought if each level could have it's own tech tree and victory conditions so that (for example) you could chose to play the whole game in the stone age and you could have a uniquely stone age tech tree. Like the preists could research fetisism and ritual cannibalism and enemy units could be harvested for food and the barracks could research war chants to scare the enemy and make them retreat. |

Okay kids, let me first say; its not made by Microsoft. It is developed by Ensemble Studios.
Second, Ensemble studios disbanded in 2009. Halo Wars was their last RTS.
You're basing AoE games off of the concept art they handed out in 2005 two thousand. Ducking. five.
There is no Age of Empires 4.

| And now i wait for them to accept me into beta. I was looking at the screenshots and descriptions and i really hope they don't turn AOE into farmville. I play these games because they are challenging and strategic, turning it into an online game like this might either add new challenging aspects or force them to dumb down the strategies just to get more social players. I REALLY hope they can pull this off. |

The New Age Of Empires Online has opened its door for fans to gain access to the Beta program.
You have to submit your application and wait to be invited to join. You also need to have a Windows Live gamertag or Xbox Live gamertag to enter.

So after months of speculation, and even some bizarre drawings on whiteboard posted in this forum, Robot Entertainment have finally released their big secret.
Sadly, it isn't Age Of Empires 4, but a very close second with Age Of Empires Online!
Microsoft and Robot have developed an online version of Age Of Empires under a franchise sale.

Microsoft are at it again, and this time are planning to re-launch their most popular strategy game, this time ONLINE. We have taken a look and believe this will be a great hit with all Age Of Empires fans and we encourage you all to sign up to the Beta program and offer your support to this games development.
Microsoft Corp released a statement detailing the new franchise on the 17th Aug 2010 as well as a number of other titles for the "Game for Windows LIVE" network.
In order to be able to apply to be a Beta tester for he Age Of Empires Online game, you need to have a Games for Windows – LIVE gamertag or an Xbox LIVE gamertag with a Silver or Gold account.

Ok, first of all I understand that some people don't have the kind of "connection" most people here have with AoE. AoE 1 was the 1st video game I played. I was only 5 years old and I would start a new game, and just wait to get pawned after 30 minutes by those cool phalanxes I couldn't get to see elseways!!!
And then, I got 7 and played AoE 2. You can't even IMAGINE what an impression a game like this makes on a 7 year-old child. Even after 10 years it still is my favourite game (and don't think I've played just a few other games).
What I want to feel again is what I felt some 5 years ago, when I first heard the new soundtrack of AoE 3 and saw the trailer. I must admit I haven't played AoE 3 as much as the other two, and consider it a bit inferior to the Age of Kings, but it's one of my favourite titles nonetheless.
Bottom line is.... YOU are the one who is stupid, and you probably don't belong here. No matter how hard it is for a new AoE game to come out, you can't just call a bunch of people idiots for hoping to play AoE 4 one day.
